LGBTQIA+ CELL
In April 2022, MVAC became the first Indian law firm to have a cell dedicated to providing all forms of legal aid, advisory, and assistance to members of the LGBTQ+ community in distress, or facing discrimination, violence, or the like on account of their sex, sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, entirely pro bono. At MVAC, we realise that despite the decriminalisation of homosexuality and the recognition of “transgender” as the third gender, LGBTQIA+ folks from around the country continue to face violence, oppression, and discrimination in different walks of life. The cell is our endeavour to help the members of the community with their legal battles and advise them on every step of the way.
START-UP CELL
MVAC Start-up Cell is an initiative to stimulate the growth of start-ups and the start-up ecosystem in the country by providing all forms of legal assistance to young entrepreneurs, assisting them through their entire journey from ideation to investment, and beyond. Each of the firm’s lawyers dedicates a part of their time every week to interacting with up & coming entrepreneurs, discussing their ideas & plans, and advising them on the legal aspects of their business. The goal of the cell is to help start-ups grow efficiently in a legally compliant manner and helping them resolve any legal challenges along the way, so that those in-charge of the business can actually focus on running the businesses without worrying about anything else.
